OUT WITH THE OLD IN WITH THE NEW Last July Andrew Panther, the owner of Ausworkwear, contacted us to do an assessment on his existing 35 Kw solar system on his office in Morwell. On inspection it was very apparent that his panels were in a very poor condition after only approx 6 years of service. many of them had cracked glass, a lot of them had water ingress and corrosion and some even had scorch marks on the backs of them; it was very lucky for Andrew that they hadn’t caused a fire. the entire installation was of very poor quality and unfortunately the company from Melbourne that had installed the system, was no longer in business, and the panel manufacturer from China had no warranty support in Australia. This was a classic case of what not to do when you are looking to invest in a solar system for your home or business. As the existing system was unsafe and barely working, it was decided that the best course of action was to remove the old solar system and replace it with a new much larger system that would more than meet Andrews needs both now and into the future. THE OLD THE NEW After assessing Andrews power usage and measuring up the roof, it was decided to maximize the solar output of his available roof space and to meet, and on most days exceed the energy use of the business, it was decided to install an Australian Made 82 Kw Solpod East, West facing modular solar system. This would be the Ideal size to meet almost all of Andrews energy needs all year round and produce some extra power on most days and on the weekends, that would be exported into the grid, to cover the businesses night time and Winter energy use. End result: On April 29 2021 Ausworkwear’s new solar system was producing up to 42.7 Kws of power and the businesses energy needs (in blue) were well and truly met for the entire day and Andrew was paid for the exported energy (in grey). Andrews power company is now paying him for his power instead of the other way around and his power bill will be in credit for almost the entire year. After Andrew writes off 30% of the asset value off his Taxable income in this Financial year; the remaining 70% of the cost of his new, state of the art solar system, will be paid for from Andrews power bill savings in approx 2.5 years. That is a whopping 40% ROI (return on investment). There is no better place to invest your businesses hard earned money than in a new tailored energy saving solution from Nrgwise. Ausworkwear and Safety is another very happy Nrgwise customer, just ask Andrew
